Tooth decay and dental cavities are one of those problems. It is essential to note that it is caused by acids which in turn breaks the teeth’s enamel. Besides, you should also floss accordingly, avoid snacking or you can do so on fruits and veggies. In addition, you should avoid sugary drinks like fruit juices and soda.

Apart from that, we have gum or periodontal disease. It is essential to note that it is caused by the inflammation and infection of the gum and the bones surrounding the teeth. You find that during early stages it presents as gingivitis. When this happens, your gums become swollen and bleed when you brush. This is one thing that when it left untreated the gum will recede and make you lose your teeth. This will also make your mouth taste funny and smell bad. Some of the major risk factors are by poor oral hygiene, diabetes, stress, smoking, crooked teeth, genetics, and compromised immune system. Remember that there credible studies linking this problem to cardiovascular disease and other related problems and it should not be taken lightly.

The next disease is root infection. It is essential to note that if you have a cavity, abscess or consistently bleeding, it might be one of the signs you need a root canal. Root infection is majorly caused by poor oral habits. The big problem is that the majority always take this as a passing toothache and by the time they realize, it is possible that the pulp has been attacked. This will require you to see a dentist to ascertain the state of your teeth and recommend the appropriate treatment measure.

Last but not least, there is halitosis or bad breath. Do not mistake this to morning breath but this is a chronic bad breath that has some underlying causes. Bad breath can be caused by things such as periodontal disease, compromised immune system, oral sores, and tooth decay. One thing that you need to know is that no matter how many times you brush your teeth in a day, you will not manage to do away with bad breath.
