You should ensure that there is no more blooding flowing out if you are cut. Wash the cut area with water and soap then cover it with a bandage. With deeper wounds, you will need stitches to help you go to a doctor. Use a butterfly bandage when going to the hospital.

You will start to heal after you have applied ice on the injured area. You should visit a doctor if after the 24 hours the wound is still swelling. You should start stretching and massaging the area that was hurt after the healing has begun. Massage will help to improve the functioning of the muscles that were injured. After sometime you should increase the use of your injured joint or even muscle.
